Our Mission

The purpose of this all-volunteer project is to compile a comprehensive list of every component required for the complete restoration of sixth generation Impalas (1977-1985 model years) and Caprices. These vehicles are similar in many ways, so the parts list covers both models.

We decided Sept 2021 that we will only be providing a link directly to our Google Sheet so you will always have the latest version of our book available online as this book is far from it’s compilation, you can follow along with it’s creation in real time.

Welcome to our ongoing project to compile a digital comprehensive list of all the parts, already included in our books, you need to rebuild and restore your sixth generation Impala. We are currently in the process of building this list, and are working to include as much information as possible about each part, including the GM Chevy part number, name, and corresponding images, as well as information about the body type and year model. In addition, we will be providing optional links for purchasing the parts online, as well as links to the relevant information in our books and on the GM Wiki.
